At Peninsula Saltwater Guide Service, we’re committed to providing exceptional experiences on the water. Whether you are an avid angler or a first-time fisherman, our goal is to ensure that your adventure is memorable and exciting. Our crew’s expertise, coupled with the Spirit’s versatility, offers a fantastic experience in one of the most beautiful settings on earth.
Ross, the owner of Peninsula Saltwater Guide Service and Captain of the Spirit, has been a part of the Homer charter fishing community for over 20 years. With a wealth of experience navigating fishing and hunting grounds around Alaska, Ross brings a unique blend of expertise and enthusiasm to every trip. In 2023, Ross purchased the Spirit from his long-time employer, marking the beginning of Peninsula Saltwater Guide Service.
From May to September, Ross and his dedicated crew of two deckhands run halibut fishing charters. These trips are tailored to provide family-friendly fishing and fun, during the peak of halibut season in Homer, Alaska. In October, the crew’s focus shifts to the remote South end of Kodiak Island, where we offer Blacktail Deer hunting trips through December.
Whether you’re looking for a quick half-day halibut fishing trip or an extended multi-day trip, the Spirit has you covered.
